H.I.S. Travel Agency Website Revamp

Completed on Thursday, February 04, 2016 for H.I.S. (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd.

As the leading travel agency in Japan, H.I.S. wanted to redesign their website for the Hong Kong market. Namely, the client wanted to not only have a modern aesthetic, but also improve their conversion from visitor to customer.

First Impressions

The moment a potential customer visits the home page, they are greeted with a hero image slideshow that houses beautiful imagery featuring the client's tour package offerings.

A minimalistic search interface below the hero image compresses the often complex search options neatly into a single line of intuitive inputs for visitors to easily find a specific package. On mobile devices, the search interface elegantly shrinks into a single dropdown menu.

Presenting the Packages

Traditionally, H.I.S. uses PDF files to present their travel packages. This not only creates friction in user experience, but also negatively impacts SEO. After studying the content of hundreds of travel packages, we devised several "template blocks" that allows the client to freely stack, order, and manipulate to present the content in a travel package.

Each package starts with a key image and an introduction along with some key information on the side.
